CANCELLATION AND REFUND POLICIES FOR EXTRACURRICULAR ACTIVITIES AND DAY CAMPS

Registration Cancellation by the Parent

Before the start of classes

If a parent or guardian cancels the registration of a participant, the refund will be done in full (administrative fee will apply).

  • -A fee of $ 3 will be deducted from the amount payable if the parent requests a refund by check.
  • -A period of approximately 10 days after the deposit of the check is required to ensure complete transfer of funds.

After the Start of Class

Full refund minus the cost of courses taken.

  •  -An administrative fee of 10% of total registration cost will be deducted from the refundable amount.
  • -A fee of $ 3 will be deducted from the amount payable if the parent requests a refund by check.
  • -A period of approximately 10 days after the deposit of the check is required to ensure complete transfer of funds

I.E. : 8 week session at $100.00 being refended after  2 classes :

$100 – $10 (10% administration fee) = $90 for 8 weeks, Therefore $67,50 is to be refunded.

Cancellation of an Activity by Sheltoons or Too Many Registrations

  • -In the event that an activity is canceled by Sheltoons, the registration cost would be refunded in full (without any administration fees).

Cancellation of activities due to an Act of God:

  • -In the event that an activity is canceled due to an Act of God the classes missed will be added to the end of the session.
  • -If the session cannot be completed a credit will be issued to the Parent’s online account for the remaining classes.
  • – No Refunds will be issued except under certain circumstances (example: a student who is in grade six and will be going to high school in the coming school year and doesn’t have a sibling the credit can be transferred to)

Expulsion of Activity

  • -No refund will be made if the child is expelled from the activity due to non-compliance with the code of conduct of the school and/or Sheltoons
  • -Expulsion is an extreme measure and is only used as a last resort after several unsuccessful attempts (verbal warnings, call parents, intervention with a member of the school staff, etc.).

Late Registration Policy

Registration After the Deadline, But at Least One Week Before the Start of the Session

  • -No additional charges will apply.
  • -Places cannot be guaranteed due to size of the group.
  • -Please call Sheltoons at 514-731-3815 to see if room is available!

Late Registration, 5 Days Before the Start of the Session

  •  -A $5.00 fee will be added to the registration either by online or paper registration
  •  -Sheltoons reserves the right to accept or refuse any late enrollment. Places available are limited by school policy.

Late Registrationn, After the Start of a Session

  • -A $5.00 fee will be added to the registration either by online or paper registration.
  • -Sheltoons reserves the right to accept or refuse any late enrollment. Places available are limited by school policy.
  • -No reduction or discount will be given for missed classes.
  • -No registration will be accepted after the second (2nd) activity.
  • -Sheltoons adds $ 5 fee for all late entries, as this cause an increase of paperwork.

Other Service Charges

Outstanding balance

  • -An administrative fee of $ 5 will be added to any unpaid balance after the second week of activities (except for pre-authorized payments by credit or debit card on Moneris). These fees are used to cover the time spent reviewing the record.
  • -If a client has an outstanding balance after several unsuccessful attempts in contacting that client by a Sheltoons representative, Sheltoons reserves the right to refuse access to the activity of the clients child the remaining activities of the session. This is an extreme measure and is only used as a last resort. The pre-payment will be required for the next activity sessions. The balance is cumulative between sessions and will be required to participate.

Returned Checks

  • -A $25.00 fee is applied for any returned checks (insufficient funds, account closed, etc.).

Refused Pre-authorized Payment

  • -A $25.00 fee will be applied to any pre-authorized payments that have been declined (Expired card or invalid number, stop payment done by client, etc.)
  • -Please contact Sheltoons Before the pre-authorized date in order to cancel payment without any charges.

Late Pick Up by a Parent at the End of an Activity

  • -If the child does not attend daycare, parents must pick up their child immediately after the activity.
  • -A $10.00 fee will be applied if the child has not been picked up after 10 minutes of the end of class.
  • -A $5.00 charge will be applied for every 5 minutes thereafter.
  • -Repeated late pickups by parents will result in having their child excluded for the rest of the session, without any refund.

Payement Method

Please note our prices are subject to change without prior notice.

By Cheque

  • -You must clearly write the child’s name and school on the cheque to the attention of Sheltoons.
  • -The cheque must be brought to school during the registration period in a sealed envelope to the attention of Sheltoons.
  • -The cheque will be deposited upon receipt.

By Cash

  • -The money must be brought to school during the registration period in a sealed envelope to the attention of Sheltoons.
  • -Exact amount only. No change will be given.

Payment by Moneris

  • -The total amount can be paid when registering online by credit card (Visa or MasterCard) or debit card. Payment in Canadian currency only (CND $), will be listed on your statement under the name of Moneris that manages security transactions by credit card and debit card.

Note: A 10% registration fee of the activities cost is non-refundable and is included in the cost of each activity, no matter the registration method used used (online, by phone or with paper coupon) or method of payment (online credit card, cheque made to the attention of Sheltoons or cash in a sealed envelope delivered to school). Some schools do not use the paper to register.

Cancellation and Refund Policy for Birthday Parties and Special Events

Cancellation 14 Days Before the event

  •  -Full refund for a canceled event 14 days before the scheduled date of the activity.
  • -A fee of $ 3 will be deducted from the amount payable if the parent requests a refund by check.
  • -A period of approximately 10 days after the deposit of the check is required to ensure complete transfer of funds.

Cancellation 14 Days or less Before the event

  • -An administrative fee of 10% of the total price of the birthday party will be non-refundable.
  • -A fee of $ 3 will be deducted from the amount payable if the parent requests a refund by check.
  • -A period of approximately 10 days after the deposit of the check is required to ensure complete transfer of funds.
